About this Nominee
Founded by a WWII veteran, Melvin’s Barbecue is Charleston’s first BBQ restaurant, carrying on a legacy started by his grandfather – the inventor of mustard-based BBQ sauce. As a family-owned tradition, we’ve been serving up slow-smoked ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and mouthwatering burgers. Our meats are always cooked low and slow over real wood smoke, while our burgers are grilled to perfection.
